“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” – Col 3:16 (ESV)
Paul’s command is about the quality of the Word’s residence: not merely dwell, but dwell richly — abundantly, with full measure, without poverty. A richly indwelling Word overflows into community: teaching one another, admonishing one another. It overflows into worship: psalms, hymns, spiritual songs. And it produces thankfulness as its natural atmosphere. The Word that dwells richly in a community does not stay private — it shapes conversation, music, correction, and gratitude. The poverty of much Christian community can be traced to a poverty of the Word’s indwelling. When the Word is present richly, the community is transformed in every dimension of its shared life.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, let Your Word dwell in me richly — not as an occasional visitor but as a permanent, abundant resident that overflows into every conversation, every song, every relationship I carry. Make me a person from whom the Word flows. Amen.
