“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” – Mark 11:24 (ESV)
Jesus calls for a striking posture of faith in prayer: believe that you have received before the evidence appears. This is not the power of positive thinking or the claim that mental certainty creates physical reality. It is the call to pray with the settled conviction that the God who promised is faithful to deliver — and therefore to live from that confidence rather than hovering in anxious uncertainty. This kind of believing prayer is not easy; it requires a robust theology of God’s faithfulness and a genuine surrendering of timing to Him. The believer who prays this way is not in denial about their circumstances; they are simply choosing to stand on God’s word over their present perception.
