FIRE AND WIND REVIVAL

Come hungry. Leave burning. Be the wind-carried flame.

Father, I Thank You

“So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, ‘Father, I thank you that you have heard me.’” – John 11:41 (ESV)

Standing before the tomb of Lazarus — before the miracle, before the stone was rolled away, before the dead man walked out — Jesus gave thanks. His thanksgiving preceded the answer. He thanked the Father not for what He could already see but for what He trusted the Father had already heard. This is anticipatory gratitude — the posture of faith that gives thanks before the evidence arrives, grounded in the character of the One who has already heard. Jesus modeled what He taught: a settled confidence in the Father’s attentiveness that expresses itself in thanksgiving even at the graveside. The miracle followed the thanks, not the other way around.

Reflection:

Is there a situation in your life — a Lazarus-moment of apparent deadness — where you could give thanks before you see the answer, trusting that the Father has already heard?

Prayer:

Father, I thank You that You have heard me about ___. I stand at the tomb and give thanks before I see the stone rolled away. You hear. You act. I trust Your timing and Your love. Thank You in advance. Amen.
