“And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.” – Matt 21:22 (ESV)
Matthew’s version of the mountain-moving promise ties receiving to faith — not faith as the absence of doubt but faith as the genuine, God-directed trust in the One being asked. The context is the withered fig tree: Jesus demonstrated a power that defied natural limits, and then told His disciples they could operate in that same realm through prayer and faith. This is not a guarantee that every prayer is answered exactly as asked — it is a statement about the extraordinary potential of faith-filled prayer aimed at a God for whom nothing is impossible. The limit is not God’s ability; it is the genuineness and direction of our faith.

Lord, nothing is impossible for You. I bring the mountain I have stopped praying about: ___. I pray in faith — not in my own confidence but in Yours. Move what only You can move, in Your perfect way. Amen.
