FIRE AND WIND REVIVAL

Come hungry. Leave burning. Be the wind-carried flame.

The God Who Sees and Hears

In a world that often feels deaf to our pain and blind to our struggles, Psalm 34:15 offers a quiet, soul-deep assurance: God sees. God hears.

This verse is nestled in a psalm of praise, written by David during a time of distress. He had fled for his life and found refuge not in a palace, but in a cave. Yet even there, he discovered the intimate nearness of the Lord.

The “righteous” in this verse are not the flawless, but those made right with God—those who seek Him, trust Him, and walk in His ways. If you are in Christ, clothed in His righteousness, this verse is a personal promise to you.

The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous—He is not distracted or indifferent. His gaze is fixed on His children. Just as a parent watches over a beloved child with care and concern, so the Lord watches over us with unwavering attention.

His ears toward their cry—This is not casual listening. It is the listening of a Father moved by the cries of His children. Whether whispered prayers in the dark or desperate groans too deep for words, He hears.

This truth invites us to live prayerfully and honestly before God. We are not forgotten. Our prayers do not bounce off a silent sky. The One who rules the universe bends down to listen when we call.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for watching over me and for hearing my every cry. Help me to rest in the truth that I am never alone. Draw me closer to You, and deepen my trust in Your faithful presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Reflection:

  • Do you believe God sees and hears you in your current season?
  • What cries of your heart need to be lifted to Him today?
